Everywhere you go, enthusiasts continue to ring the knell for Microsoft's gaming division. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a platform few have heard of. Xbox fan sites began covering regarding Sony's platform for the first time. 2025 was an era of significant turmoil for the tech giant's gaming arm. However, judging purely by the titles headed to the service in 2026, it's evident that Xbox still intends to draw people in with strong games on its flagship service.
The Current Inclusions
The two games currently accessible at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. Instead, the excitement lies in what's arriving to Game Pass soon that's deserving of attention.
Major Titles on the Horizon
Starting January 13th, the platform will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that breaks up conventional open-world tropes with a cosmic robbery tale. A further major acquisition is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "the perfect cocktail of horror and action."
Noteworthy Smaller Games
But even the smaller games coming to Game Pass soon are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler that's a blast to play, becomes available next week — and you should try it even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.
The British post-apocalyptic game from last year might get its hooks in you within just a quarter of an hour.
Atomfall, a game blending infiltration and resource management by the developers behind Sniper Elite, is also a game to check out. Ultimate tier members also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.
A Robust Selection of Games
All in all, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, and they don't represent massive exclusive blockbusters that are the sole reason for the service in the first place. However, this batch of games are very dependable. There's a good mixture of older titles you may have skipped and fairly new titles that failed to receive the spotlight they warranted upon launch — transforming them into ideal prospects to experience a revival on Game Pass.
Hope you're ready to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
